Mirrors BMW E34 520i 1992

Bmw e34 520i 1992
i want to change my big ass side mirrors will a set from a e36 work or what do you guys recomend??

You can use mirrors from a later E34. They are basically an E36 mirror with the correct mounting plate for an E34.

Since yours is a '92 you shouldn't have a problem with the plugs for the electrics. Earlier cars had a big ass white plug whereas the later ones had a smallish black plug.

I have changed to the smaller mirrors on both our 520i's. :thumbsup:

The E36 mirrors wouldn't work as the base plate to mount them to the car, differs to the E34 baseplate.

There are a couple of the later E34 mirrors sitting at Bemow in Pretoria. :thumbsup:

Thanks guys. I have been waiting for an answer to this very question. I also drive a 525i '92. Those big arse mirrows anoy me every day.
