Hey guys!

I'm now the new owner of a Mini Cooper S 2004. So far all is running well, but like a true guy i obviously want more.

I've been shopping around for a pulley reduction kit, a decat downpipe, someone to spray my rims, someone to do some matte black vinyl and a USB/iPod connection for my stock headunit.

I'd really appreciate if someone could help me out. I'm in the Joburg or Cape Town area. Either one, i'm not too fussy.

Thanks alot!

Hi there

For rims I thoroughly recommend Mag Workshop in Paarden Eiland in CPT.

Their work is superb and usually is done overnight, ask nicely and they will put loan rims on your MINI for you.

As for the rest I dont know. :sorry:

I always hear good things about Powerflow Exhausts so maybe give them a shout for your exhaust mods.

Is it wise decatting the S/C Cooper S? I've read that the car can lose power after decat. Must be something to do with the S/C???

Thanks for the advice everyone!

I've tried to contact most of the people you guys have recommended and i'll get back to you on the verdicts.

No one got any advice on an iPod connection for the 2004 Cooper S? I'm really dreading having to remove the OEM stereo in order to have an iPod connection.

Thanks once again.

I am getting one from a mike so if you want to play around with the branches you can take mine off my hands. been decatted.

BMC is okay but stuff like drop in filters do not realy make a big differance. Mike is selling a JCW intake, great but they are pricey.

Also look at ALTA, great products from america.

Yes and the JCW intake is about the best you can get. So if you can buy the one from Mike.
I think I might still have the RMW camshaft!!! I have OEM branch X 2 if it's needed, OEM coil pack, OEM bonnet scoop..........will look through my stuff and repost. Mine made 166 fly kw's on SAC Dyno Durban but was a full JCW as well.

Hey Dean,

You wouldn't by any chance be looking for a new home for that RMW cam?

Will be very interested.

Wian, that cam Dean has is really good. You will need to get the car tuned though. It pulls quite hard with it and idles like normal too.

Daevanam the best way to bet more out of a boosted car is to give it more boost... when you at the limit of what the stock parts can do them look at changing hardware...

i would get the pulley kit it will give you by far the best gain then look at changing other stuff...
