Anyone done a decat on a Mini Cooper Non S?

Hi guys,

I was just curious to know if anyone has had a decat done on a
Mini Cooper NON S and if so, what sort of gains could I expected
to get? I'm going to be getting a 2008 Cooper ( 88kw version ) soon
and if i can gain little bit extra with a decat that'll be great

To be honest, you wont really see any power gains on a small N/A motor with a decat... It would be beneficial to remove the cat if its blocked or clogged up.

Even with an Intake, Free flow exhaust with branch manifold and a chip will not make good power for the money you will spend... maybe 2-5 kw's at the wheels which your bum dyno wont be able to even notice.

On a Cooper S, it will be a different story... That car will make much more power if modded.

I think as better way to go is to have good tires, light wheels and good suspension? ie: improve the handling
