Fantastic milestone and I reckon these cars still have plenty of life in them beyond these mileages if properly looked after!

Just curious to know what was the cause for the exclamation sign on the display??

Thanks guys. The car still feels awesome. I'm sure the engine will go another 200 000kms.

@ Phillip - The warning triangle is the brake wear sensor fault. I changed my rear disks and pads and changed the sensor yet the warning remains.

Interesting! Did yours also have the red car on a lift symbol with the handbrake (ABS) light on all the time? Pulled my car's brakes apart to inspect and lubricate with some copper grease (brakes squealing and agents did not go to the trouble to apply any anti-squeal paste), then fumbling about broke the front wear sensor which I had to replace the following day...

Follow the link. Always replace the sensor and do the reset procedure. http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=50536

Nice one bro.

My 2006 116i has 209,000Kms now, still running healthy, and no issues so far except an Aircon Compressor failure at 140,000Km. I can't say the same for my buddies who bought the Golf 5, they resorted in trading them. BMW FTW :bravo:

The wear sensor had not tripped and the service indicator was still showing 39k km and 38k km for the front and rear brakes. The problem was that with me fumbling around I snagged one of the wires causing the sensor to be open circuit triggering this error. Fitted a new front wear sensor and the error messages were gone - no need to reset anything in this case.
