Has any member used MHD only on bmw 54 . if so what are the pros and cons .

is it any good compared to other flash tuning ?

There are quite a few MHD threads on this forum.

It all comes back to what is your goal with the car.

MHD is a good tuning option to get you started and got plenty of power maps as you add the mods to your car.

On the plus side you just need an android phone and a compatable OBD cable with OTG to flash a performance map or to revert to OEM mapping.

Using mhd v8 stage 2+ , best thing since sliced bread .

I use a JB4 with the MHD back end flash so it's not exactly what you are asking about but I will definitely recommend going for MHD. It's easy to install and makes the power delivery smooth. JB4 alone cannot match that smoothness for obvious reasons.

The options for different hardware configurations are there and the maps take 2mins to write after you do the initial 40mins write.

I use MHD only and its awesome

Cons:
no 2 step

PRos:
-easy and no hardware to be installed
-switching maps and clearing codes on the fly
-Wastegate rattle fix works great
-cold start noise reduction (a preference but nice to have this option)
-nice UI with some awesome and useful gauge displays
-and of course BURBLE TUNE!!! :cartel:
