Metallic rattling from front suspension

My car has developed a metallic rattling noise over the past few weeks when going over bumpy or cobbled road. Sounds like its coming from the front right wheel area. If the press the brakes the sound goes away. Had the suspension checked and all seems ok. Only thing that was done recently on the car was new disks and pads on the front. I know the disks and pads are of questionable quality so could it be a pad thats not fitting 100% rattling around in there?

Mmmm.....what car?

I had a rattle like that on my 5 series some years ago - it was some metal cover over the exhaust I think. A mechanic used rubber to prevent the metal from knocking.

Sounds like you are missing the anti rattle clips for the brakes.

Assuming that the brakes where done recently they probable were not replaced.

This vid shows the clips:

So if there was no rattle before the disk replacements i assume
the following mite be

1 ) Can it be that the rattle plates was never put back or don't they have it :fencelook: small very thin plate usually inserted between brake disk and caliper

2) anti rattle Clip came out ( keeps the disk in place)

3) wrong disks

 Basically you will have to check. take the wheel off and c if you can spot anything out of the ordinary

Tlvivo exactly sounds terrible....embarrassing for a BM. Prado this one goes away when I apply brake so I double its exhaust related. I know there is a a caliper rattle clip(thin long one) and rattle clips(three pronged usually) that sit on the inner pad to prevent that from rattling. My caliper clips are there and feel solid. So that leaves the inner pad to be checked and rattle plates that Dippies is talking about. Ive seen a few posts where the inner pad rattle clips are the culprip and just spreading them apart a little solves the issue. Will check it out myself on the weekend. Thanks a lot guys.
