Medicine for scratch marks?

Ok....
I suffered from temporary insanity on Saturday morning and my BM had to pay the penalty...

IN short - 5kg of birdshit on the hood, I got irritated and in my fury I took the scourer I use for dishes and decided to quickly remove the birdshit....

BOEM!! 5 or 6 spots on my car where the shit was... It seems that i didn't go right through the whole paint layer but ja the scratches are stil quite visible.

What is the BEST way I can remove these (or HIDE them..) :mmm:

This is where the car detailing people might be able to help.

I guessing something like a a few different levels of polish and wax

yip some good ol elbow grease and polish, send to to a detailing shop for a buff,

upon coming home from work my dog went ape and did something he never does he got excited and jumped on the car as im pulling in leaving nasty scratch marks on my bonnet front bumper and driver door.

dude you crazy that shits for pots not your car... some polish and wax should work if you did not get threw the clear coat... :slap:

I once way back (Note the key word once) tried that on a whole car..... thought the scourer was plastic and wouldn't harm...... bad move.

The good news is the scratches are not deep at all. Use a restorative wax by hand, don't rub too hard as it's faily hard on metalics just enough to remove the deep scratches, but it will definitly remove the scratches, don't overdo, you don't want to go through the clearcoat. Restorative wax is a slightly abrasive wax used to remove oxidation from old paint, it's not supposed to be used with metalic paint but you don't have much of a choice here and if you are gentle it will work.

Once the scratches are gone, finish off with a good wax sealant.

A car I bought a few months ago had the same problem from the previous owner and I used the above technique to get it looking perfect.
