May 2014 Month end Specials on PIRELLI

I just recieved an email from the Pirelli warehouse, with an .xls spreadsheet of discounted prices on certain tyres, after applying VAT/Fitment costs etc, the price of the tyres is still almost 50% less than normal retail price :are-you-for-real-:

certain conditions and minimum quantities apply

personal message from Pirelli in the email was

Hi guys,

Please find attached a list of month end specials.

You will see that there is a min qty per size to qualify for the special pricing. Also a combo deal, so you will need to take a set to get the pricing.

Qty can not be less than indicated. The combo set must be 2 to 2

Nice special, but the listed retail prices on the schedule seems abit off. Case in point, the retail price of the 225/35/R19 88Y XL P-Zero r/f is listed as R6,300.
I recently got this balanced and fitted at a cost of R3,850 Incl Vat.

No offence intended towards Ralf... just a general query. I am tempted to get a set at that special price but I only need one tyre

it is per tyre, (and the last column is my price including VAT/Fitment/etc) provided the minimum quantity is purchased

I fully understand that but the retail prices Pirelli is providing is giving us the impression that we would qualify for a discount of around 45% when in reality it is only around 9% (in the specific instance that I referred to initially).
I know you did not prepare the schedule, but just giving you my opinion as a consumer

Irrespective, the price until the end of May is really good

yes they are

I just spoke to the representative at PIRELLI, and he indicated to me that all the tyres marked with (*) are BMW approved tyres

however the Pirelli salesman says this is incorrect size and should be:

and
