Matte Black kidney grills

Hi guys do any of you have those full black kidney grills ?

can you buy it off the shelf or do you spray the original grills black?

you can buy or spray. if u have time to sand down the chrome and wait for all the coats to dry properly then DIY. but if you dont do it properly itl start to chip after a while and looks kak. lots of guys did it on the forum.. ask andrewbuch, i know he did his e36 :thumb:

I did but did not take my time, just sanded lightly, then sprayed black with no primmer or anything.. Just black.. they have lasted well but I dont do much hiway driving so not that much chance for chips..

it should look pretty good on a silver car plus you can also get the black and white carbon fiber badges to add to the silver and black effect.

did mine also - like a 5min job, no need for specialist painters. and the rubber finish is very hardy + great finish.
