Lol I was actually thinking it's a must to do the grills and the mirror, especially on a white car.

Had some goodies arrive today from S&I Auto Parts and Accessories. Awesome service. Thank you Steven and Irene.

Have fitted some of them. Will take some photos tomorrow.

Did you add the glossifier to the mirrors to get that shine or Is it matte black??

If you want a glossier finish with Plastidip, I have found that you should deviate from the instructions.

Make the first coat a wet coat. Hold the can closer to the target and use the 50% overlap method.

This differs from the usual instructions where they say put a light coat as the base. This will lead to a matte finish, whereas if you make the first coat a wet one, it leads to a glossier finish.

Congrats , looks similar to mine.
I have different wheels and black mirror caps.
Enjoy !

Ahh thats just beautiful :)

I will also do the mirrors but probably with plastidip. If it looks ugly I will look at alternatives.

I was unsure about gloss or matte. Decided on matte, hope I dont regret it. I do think its important to match all the decals though

I did gloss all round because of the gloss kidney grills so everything matches up nicely.

I installed the front lip and splitters. The lip is still matte black. May get it sprayed white at some stage but couldn't wait to put it on

Got to install the boot spoiler now. I see Fuzz and Boosted gave good advice in another thread on what to use to stick it down, so will follow their advice. Just need to find out who stocks this stuff in Durban.

I did it. Had to see what it looked like. Thank you Plastidip.

Took me about an hour to do all 4 (leaving wheels on car)

Here's a snippet. Will take more in the daylight tomorrow.

You did a good job with the plastidip it seems, congrats! I personally prefer them in oem colour. But they do look good different now, bunch of F30's around with 19s and this is the first time I'm seeing them in black :)

Thanks. Yes, OEM colour is very nice. I just think they get lost of bit on a white car.

If I get bored of the black its a quick peel and they are back to OEM. Thought I would try out the black while I search for other mags.

Shucks just zoomed into your rims again, and you really did do a great job, and you never even removed the wheels from the car? Where you located? Haha I wanna drop off plastidip and my centre console by you haha :D

Haha! Thanks. I have done so much research and practised a bit before trying on my car. Have found a nifty way of repairing any tears or bad textures.

Here is a pic of what I did to protect the other parts from the spray - using a long piece of plastic.
