M88 engine number

Can anybody tell me where to find the engine number on an M88 block. I even got a borescope but cannot find it.

Not specific to the M88 engine but the locations are usually the intake side of the crankcase.
Or the flywheel end of the crankcase.

Machines flat spot with an 8 or 7 digit number.

it should of been on the block .

Took the plenum off to get a good look in, cleaned the area but no number.
I have the chassis plate and license disk disagreeing so this is why I was looking.
Do either numbers make sense to anyone and would the lack of stamped block number indicate a factory replacment.
