M50 Inlet Manifold on Z3 2.8L

Collected my car on Saturday with new manifold fitted, what a difference this mod has made to the car, it pulls strong through to redline. I had previously done the exhaust and fitted a k&n airfilter, with the intake you can feel the increase in power. Unfortunately I never did a before and after run on a dyno, still worth doing. :thumb:

Who did the work for you? Pics of their handiwork? I know it isn't the easiest thing to photograph, I'm particularly interested in their breather pipe setups right under the manifold.

ABC Sport in Pinetown did the work, it would be impossible to take pics of the breather pipe setup, as it's a tight fit on the Z3

Nice indeed - i did the same to my E36 328iM.

Tip : Connect the engine to OBD scanner and check the Air Intake Temperature is correct.

Next thing to do is fitting larger throttle bodies...

Thanks for the advice, how does this affect the setup. Which throttle bodies would you suggest.

you get a big bore throttle body or itb's.but if go the itb route you are gonna fork out big bucks which could better be spent on cams or even a turbo conversion

best upgrade for the M52.
works well. also easy to do yourself.

hey man i also own a z3 2.8 i was thinking of going the same route i was wondering what did the mani and k&n cost you also do you use the 57i k&n induction system and from what m50 model did you use for the intake?
