M5 switch off aircon

Hi all

I gave noticed this on my M5 and a 2016 X5 so I'm hoping it's a easy setting to adjust...the aircon switches on every time u start the car, then us have to manually switch it off...anyone know where in the M5 I can change it...mine is 2014 M5

Why not just leave it on?

Manufacturers have been doing this for years. My Mercedes has a "AC off" button which lights up when the aircon is off, instead of when it's on, meaning it should be on by default.

It's supposed to remember the previous state the AC system was in when you switch the car off, but only if you were in that state for at least 10 minutes.
i.e. If you switch it off and then drive for 9 minutes, it'll be automatically switched on again, but if you drive for 12 minutes it should stay off.

If that's not working, you can ask you dealer to set it - it's easily done by Coding the car.

Correct, this can be coded to remember last AC memory

Aircon should be off at all times in an M5.

Windows should be down and you should be enjoying that beautiful sound.

Most probably coded to be always on on start up or turning it down when you switch the vehicle off. The FOB should "remember" the last used status and setting.
