The word to describe a V10 BMW hasn't been created as yet but i think it would go something like "OMGDIDTHATJUSTF***INGHAPPEN" :praise:

The V10 M5 had one of the best sounding engines I've ever heard. Pity everyone's going all green. As good as the benefits of forced induction are for aural pleasure nothing beats a NA engine.

Thats the reason Merc dropped the 5.5l and fitted the 6.2l
V10 M5, stuff dreams are made of :inlove:

While I agree that the M5 was an worthy piece of engineering the E55, when it was initially released in 2003, was hardly a dog. I mean a luxury car weighing close on 2 tons achieving 1/4 mile times in the mid 12 seconds was indeed ground-breaking hence its title by journalists as "king of the road". I'm a huge beemer fan but that AMG engine catapulted Merc from novices to serious contenders. Respect.

I believe a tuned E55 will sweep the floor with a E63...

I agree, that 55 engine made AMG what it is today. The engine in the SL55 was unbelievable. Will always prefer M engines though.
