This topic has been discussed on this forum before. Just do a search. It's not that clear cut. It's an awesome car with some huge flaws. If you have lots of spare cash to use when things do go wrong, then just get the car. If you don't have the cash, don't buy it.

Be prepared to fork out lots of cash for front discs, they tend to overheat and warp, and if the SMG 'box needs some attention, you're in for lots of money. Oh and the motor uses oil by nature, and the oil level sensor could fail and you stand the chance of running bearings.:fencelook:


I'm not trying to put you off, but these are real issues. Some members on this forum will disagree.
I was also looking at getting an ///M5, but decided against it.

I have experienced none of those flaws, I ride hard, and my buddy has an M6, also none of those flaws. It is a good choice, go for it. :thumbs:

What has he done to it? Mine's a stroker and it sits at 406kw

Changed Engine Pulleys... Exhaust System... Mapping... And Some Other Mods... will find out exactly what was done... i wanna record a video of the exhaust sound wjen the car is revving... sounds super wicked

I done xhaust, stroker, remap, injectors and I've gained only 33kw. Those figures are really huge.

I bought the M5! Apparently it is the only type of red coloured M5 in the world. Pics to follow!

Some getting used to the SMGII gearbox.
