so there was a solution to this :thumbs:
Removed the cam and proceeded to remove all eight lifters last night. They have these little plungers on top of them and 6 of them felt really solid (could not get movement out of them) but the remaining two were a bit on the soft side :rollsmile: I was able to compress the 2 with my hand.
Anyway, i cleaned all the lifters up untill i was able to move each plunger and proceeded to pump them all full of oil by submerging it in oil and pushing down on the plunger a few times.
My dad just finished with putting everything back together and called to say the car is back to normal...no tapping:thumbs:
