Actually a nice review, the journalists reviewing the M3/M4 will have a thing or 2 to say about the sound of the inline 6 engine.....just cant match that V8 sound :praise:

Nice video find btw Mr.K!!!

to be honest...the new M3/M4 sound is quite disappointing.

Nonetheless...I will still drive one

This journo needs to be hit on the head :fishwack:

You can't compare the in-line 6 turbo to the V8. Completely different motors here. The M4 is light years ahead in all aspects, we just need to come to terms with the sound output.

Just like F1, the cars are faster this year but don't produce the same sound. Now do you want a slow car that makes a big noise for nothing or a fast one that makes a decent enough sound for everyday use???

My biggest gripe is BMW introduce the car...and almost immediately offer a performance exhaust....its an M, why is that exhaust not standard???
There should be any "performance" options on an M!!!!

Yeah everyone does it now. Buy an AMG, then you get a performance pack. What the heck!

For me, slower V8 > crap sounding turbo

There Kimeran you have your answer :biglol:

Anyway, I think its to do with price and personal taste. Someone will want a normal M as it does everything they would want from it. Whilst other will want a bit more and are willing to pay for that extra to make the car into what they want.

Not everyone wants a loud exhaust, lower/harder suspension, various cosmetic trinkets, etc...

P.S Look at the A45, you can order it with the AUTOSTYLE edition package :roflol::roflol::roflol:

Yeah Merc is just as guilty and I hate it!!!
I understand the performance options on a 135i or 335i etc. But an M is an M! It is the best BMW can do, no compromise
