Still sad that these can't be tracked (MP in mind)

They marketed as Race \Track day ready version on the normal sports car.....

Hollllllld up, does tracking void the MP??

It does. And always has, if BMW finds out your car was on the track.

Useless to buy cars like this in this country.

whats the point of this! if the GTS was suppose to be the holy grail of M4's and cost double the M4 price... WTF

The point is, now they can sell this one at 4x the price

M4 = X
M4 GTS = 2X
M4 DTM = 4X :biglol:

Honestly I've had this question many times since there are eg: Alberante branded cars at track days that I've seen which (I would imagine) then get sold on to clients.

Tried to find out from BMW since they mentioned it might be relaxed recently (untimed events etc.) but didn't get anything in writing back from them.

The rule was initially to stop guys using the cars for proper timed competition type events such as Michelin Cup... however it now covers ANY event even a track day.

Those branded ones you see put there by BMW are sent to the crushers once they are done with them. In all probability you're seeing the cars that they use for advanced driving courses. These never get sold to the public. Squishy squishy.

The irony of a brand that markets the ultimate driving machine :tiptoe:

It's like marrying a supermodel that you can't ...

The problem is not the brand, it's the regional fat cats who don't want to handle motorplan claims locally when problems arise on the track.

The Germans have no problem with motorplan when tracking their cars.

Hang on, so hows this for a really big one up the bum then?

Cant track my car, and any spirited driving on the road is illegal - obviously occipher - and in my instance recorded and then judged on??????

No man, this is now kark of note.

And in my case, the spec on my car just begs to have some speed thrown at it in the bendy stuff too!

That sportpack with the 18's is such a fantastic package together.........

And im shafted either way. :thumbdo:

What about all those M3/M4 models that tear up the track at track days for BMW hotlaps? How is it they are allowed to do so? What happens to those cars once they are done with them? Do they get sold onto unsuspecting clients?
