M4 Driver's seat

Hi guys, so I have been driving and loving my M4 (2015) for 8 months with a slight annoyance, which I was going to try to fix when I take the car for service the next time. So the issue is that in a right turn or on uneven road or over traffic bumps when my body leans to the left the left side lumbar support touches the centre console and it makes a squeaky noise something like rubbing an inflated balloon. So yesterday at Leo Haese in Centurion there was some technical guy from BMW HO and he had a look at the issue. He said the noise may be coming from the internal parts in the lumbar support, but he was not sure. Any way the car is going back for service so they can have a look at the seat. There is no issue with the passenger seat. So the question is has anybody else experienced something like that. Regards.

do an experiment.

Put a small person in the drivers seat.
if the noise goes away, there are two out comes.

1.You have "love handles' ;)
2 BMW made a kak seat.

or
3. All of the above :)
I do have some 'love handles', but they are small and cute :)

But a good idea any way. It will be experimented with my wife in the driver's seat. She is half my weight :)

I had the same problem....just put a cloth between the side bolster and the console. I am 1.9 m tall ...If I move the seat forward no problem.. unfortunately I am very uncomfortable....maybe If we pad the side of the console with a soft material it should work....

I have the same idea, thanks. The way I would do it is to put something on the seat and on the console, but at least on the seat so the leather does not wear off there, which I think will happen in time.

my seatbelt mechanism was rubbing against the console and i just used a piece of adhesive velcro ( the soft piece , if that makes sense )
