M3turbo's 2018 F22 M240i

The last one and a half months have lingered on for an unusually long time for me. My 240i has been sitting at a dealership since then and today is T minus zero. When Supertech NN opens its doors this morning, I will be there holding my hands out for my new keys.

It was a good decision for me to wait it out and register as a 2018 model:
Nov/Dec were busy working months for me
I had time to clean out my garage in prep for an extra vehicle (2 skips filled and stuff sold or given away).
I had time to source aftermarket M-performance bits and the M-performance steering wheel from BMW took some time to arrive.
There is now a 16K price escalation from Jan 18 and my OTP was finalized with 2017 pricing.

Its been 6 years since I owned a BMW and look forward to another journey of tinkering with the amazing B58 platform.

I guess it all starts here:
Options: I did not over spec - For me, standard options are great on this car

Pricing: As mentioned, I avoided the 2018 price increase on top of a 54K discount - I approached various dealers and found discounting quite variable.
My 2nd option was a JSN one with a lot of M-performance parts thrown in at no cost with the normal base price. BMW Alberante also offered me a 50K discount shortly before they closed down.

I did also pay 5K for license and registration (will register for me in jhb and deliver plates to me - car supplied with full tank of fuel etc). The level of service and communication from Supertech NN was exceptional so I did not bother to negotiate this down. Additionally, I did ask for a courtesy car and they were prepared to lend me one from early Dec however i only managed to get to NN mid Dec. So for 2 weeks I had their 2.0d X1 with me...

Final Price of my 2018 M240i = 684k

M-performance Add ons:
I used a combination of BMW supplied and aftermarket parts

M Performance steering (Alcantra wrap with Race display)

Aftermarket:
Rear spoiler + exhaust tips = 4500
Front lip (3D type) = R5500
Side mirror covers = R2200

BMW labour costs for installation of above was negotiated to 5K.
This included colour coding of side sills.
BMW is somewhat pedantic with the fitment of aftermarket parts. They only progressed with fitment after the face-to-face discussion with me yesterday morning. Rear spoiler fit was about 95 % compared to original MPerformance part - I accepted. Modifications were required to fit tail pipes - and I green lighted a cut and weld option which apparently voids my back silencer warranty. Side mirror covers were OK.
Front lip did not fit well at all - I declined any attempt to fit and will take it up with supplier.
