M3motorplan extend or not

Extend is best . If you take her out for a weekend run and never use the performance , handling and braking then you should have peace of mind if you do not extend ....but if TLGP is in the menu......

R38k? I wouldn't bother... have the car checked out, and go for one last MP claim and have those parts checked.

You do less than 5000km's a year. DON'T waste your money. Rather put that R38k in a fixed deposit. Say you extend again after the year is done, are you gonna spend R76k on a motorplan?

Show me 1 BMW that will be so knackered after 7 years or 110 000km that it will require an additional R76 000.

Dont bother mate, dont.:thumbdo:

...thats why I said he must contact motorplan directly, and ask them to ONLY extend it by 5,000km's and 1 year. That should cost him about R9,000 - R12,000 I think...

Yeah Cois, totally agree. I hope they can do that. R38k is madness.

rather get it extended and if you sure you going to do under 5000km's a year take Cois advice and extend for a lower mileage cause i remember the clutch on my e46 M3 had to be replaced and was out of MP and it cost me 17k so i dont want to even think of what it would cost on an E92 M3

call bmw and ask them how much a diff/gearbox/clutch or flywheel cost...

its going to be very hard to find these parts away from the dealers the car is not old enough yet...

Diff on my 320i - R19 000 excluding labour

R3/km motorplan + R2/km fuel - I dont think it is worth it.
The dealers are morons in any case. You actually want them to keep their paws off your car

You can try to just extend the time for another year, keep the mileage at 100k. I paid about R4.5k to do that on my Z4, but it had lower km's when the 5 years were up (~85k km).

I did not extend the MP on my X5, even at R24k it was too much. I'd rather keep the money in my own account and spend it when necessary, than give it to BMW to keep and nothing breaks in the year.

What could go wrong in 5000km?

The only argument for possibly extending is if you are planning to sell the car within the next year. Even then, will it command a R38k premium over another car with no MP when you trade it in?:dunno:

Only extend for the km that you will use, ie 5000km(as you say).
You can always extend km later.

I got a quote to extend my motorplan for 1 yr at R7500, it's a 2007 e92 m3 with 40000km.
