Guys I'm in the market for a new car...
I had a little girl 5 months ago so I need a car with 4 doors as my wife will use it as a daily drive ( I drive a bakkie leker) and the 135 is a bit of a mission at the moment!!

So my question...what will you buy a secondhand 63 or M3?
I enjoy modding cars very much and will be modding my next car aswell, N/A or blown don't know yet but modded she will be! Both cars can be modded but I'm into Drags and Street racing so handeling is a plus but not a must, what car do you think will be the beter buy, I know this forum will be biast but so be it...

Personally, I would go for the M3, I just love that car. That being said, I love the C63 too; the ///M just does something more for me.

Tough decision there but I'm sure you will be very happy either way.

I might be in the minority here, but I don't like the sound of the C63 compared to the ///M3. A guy who lives near me has one and it sounded "too" rough, like a agricultural vehicle [flame suit on]. I prefer the highly strung sound of the ///M3 V8 to it

That aside it's a very accomplished car, and if you aren't going to take it to the track for circuit, it's probably the better bet because it seems to have proven itself a bit more tuneable...

+1 M3 for me

this is a very tough one. My advice is go drive both of them and then decide.

If it were me, I would go C63 and if I had the moola, I would do what George Smooth is doing to his. But you can't go wrong with either.

Performance: Straightline drag's - C63 is quicker than the M3. Corner's/Twisty's M3 no doubt.
Sound: C63 for that raw guttural V8 sound, M3 at high rev's is pure sex and with a Akropovic or Eissenmann exhaust probably pound for pound with a stock C63.
Economy:M3 is more economical than a C63 on tires and petrol :=):
Style/Exclusivity:4 door M3's are actually quite rare, not as common as the coupes so here I give it to the M3 .. just, the C63's are all saloon's.

So my tally is.
C63 1 M3 2 and one tie.

but either way both are beast's.
Go test drive both a few times but then again this may confuse you more :=):
Good Luck!

You simply cant go wrong with either one...i'd say c63 since you want a sedan....///M3's looks best with 2doors lesss

A tough one but in this instance I think I would go for the C63. Either way you'll be happy because both of them are incredible machines!

Whatever you choose send the car down to Rennzport in the Cape for proper tuning and modifications...cant go wrong. Or leave the 135 with us to fix your hassles with it and it will take both your choices down....we will add a lovely spray of N20 or bigger turbos??...

Like I tend tell everyone. Go out and drive the both and you'll defiantly know which one you really want. Since you got a kid and the wife will be using it, ride comfort will also be on top for your list as well? In that case try driving the C63 on long trip. Mercedes has made the C63s suspension way too hard in the process of trying to beat the M3 in terms of handling, the seats are also good to look at but are extremely uncomfortable for long distance driving.

Sure, some guys think that the Merc has the BMW in the straight line. Stock for stock,(I'm sure other M3 owners will back me up on this) there's nothing in it. Basically boils down to the driver, or if you peddling the M-DCT its bye bye C63 most of the time especially at the robots.

Please don't take this the wrong way, i'm not putting the C63 down because i own a M3. Its just my opinion as well as my experience with the C63. I know many guys that happen to own a C63, and yes its a great car but not as great as a M3. I remember 3 car magazines testing the M3, C63 and RS4 a few years ago, all in the same month. The M3 came out tops in all of them, even in the straight line stakes. Also when tested on 5th Gear the M3 won overall, even lately when they tested the M3 competition pack and the C63 performance pack.

Best of luck:thumbs:

Guys I have owned two of the E 92 M3 , man and dct. I guess I was unlucky twice because the first M3 had oil pump failure and the 2010 had gearbox problems..both the cars were new....if you are not sure of the C63 ..look at the latest 535i you can get one at a good price. For me the M3 looks best in Coupe...good luck with your choice,,for me I would choose C63...

C63 all the way for me.

Its the looks, noise and madness that I love even though I know the M3 is a better car. How can you resist?
