what system did you replace the original with?? what sort of diff did the new system make and would you recommend it? i like the rasp but enjoy hearing the deep bassy tone of a str 6 as well. i used to have a 325is and the tone it had was spine tinggling!!!! i would like to make the xhaust a bit more audible but have heard that complete systems are scarily expensive!!
a few guys have said that decatting the original system makes it louder and sounds much better than the original and doesn't cost an arm and leg!!! what do you think??

I just removed the catts, put in straight pipes, yes i would recommend the de-catt on the M3,the raspiness was awesome,it got a bit louder and a bit more deep and i loved it.felt a bit more punch in the lower revs after the de-catt,when at full throttle it sounded freakin awesome:joy:
i gained 6kw after the de-catt and i think 10nm
anyways i would say go for it:thumbs:

when you removed the cats and fitted the str pipes, what did they do with the sensors??? am considering this option but want to be sure it works well. Did any warnings lights come on after removing the cats ?? if anyone else in the know , pls help as well!!! Have been told that str pipes can be fitted or the cat box can be opened and the cat honeycomb removed, then cat box is closed up and fitted back onto car. Can anyone help with more info , which is the better option????
