M3 E90 rod/bearings ...oil pump change?

Hi guys,

I'm doing some homework, is it necessary to change the oil pump when doing rod/bearings on M3 E90? I assumed its just the bearings, oil, oil filter, sump gasket, bolts. Is there any thing else I should change while it is open?

I am also doing the same. Plan on doing bearings in the next couple of months.

I would add the engine mounts to your list. They seem to be a weak point and I plan to replace them whether the ones currently on are bad or not.

From discussions I have had with a few people, it seems OEM bearings seem to be the favoured option on the E9X's.

Tunetech does a refurb on them instead of full replacement. @Neven had it done I think - on his E92

If you're going to all the trouble of the other items though I would have it done.

There is nothing in the pump to refurb.
You either change it or you do not.
The S65 pumps are pretty much bulletproof and do not require fiddling.
