Hi Guys

My car's clutch is slipping quite badly and I had to race it like this at odi on Sunday.
Slipping in all gears and a quarter mile of 14.3 @ 162 .
Apparently it has a copper clutch in it, that is what the previous owner told me.
The car has slight mods and needs a strong clutch.
Is the standard clutch fine? Any suggestions on the type of clutch and where to get it fitted will be appreciated. I am in JHB area .

If it has a copper clutch you can just get someone to fit new shoes on it if you where happy with how it worked. Not sure who does that these days but should be cheap.

i had my clutch done on my M3 by Alex from Antonie Motors in the Benrose area-
he helped source the clutch from overseas, as we couldn't find stock of what i wanted here-
i'm sure he can help with replacing the shoes- ask him.
its the old AMG workshops-
his price was very reasonable-
he helped me build my toyota and i have alot of respect for his work.
