m3 brake light circut failure

Got this warning on my ///m and thought it was loose bulb or something. Only 2 find no brake lights @ all. Tried cleaning the fittings nothing. Sprayed fuses wit penetrant, nothing. Then decided 2 check switch on pedal which i couldn't remove, apparently a bia....h 2 remove. So still not sure wats goin on. But on the plug that fits behind the switch, i bridge 2 wires and bam, brakes work. Now is it really the switch that cost almost 400 @ the stealers? Any ideas

i also have the same error from time to time, but my brake lights work, any ideas guys?

Its the switch. I think you need 2 push down on the pedal to remove it. But you must just check sometimes when the switch becomes faulty it works in oppersite, while the pedal is out your lights come on and when you press the lights go off.
