M2 Pricing released

So seems the pricing for the M2 has been released.
More or less around what I thought it would be,
I would take the manual to be honest - cheaper and more fun I think

The M2 Coupe is not only the direct heir to the 1 Series M Coupe but also a descendant of the original E30 M3 and 2002 turbo.

Pricing

BMW M2 6-speed manual - R791 000

BMW M2 DCT - R841 900

lol at that price second hand e92 M3 supercharged left over change for other mods and repairs... this will be WAY better than the M2

you really cant compare new prices to second hand there is always more value to be had second hand, but it is NOT new

Of course you can, I will be using my money to pay for it. Thats just how us poor people roll... Let the rich guys take the initial knock :rollsmile::rollsmile:

then dont complain about new car pricing if you not going to buy new its not your problem

all im saying is you cant expect to pay second hand car pricing for a new car it is just not reasonable :) BMW has to make money to develop new cars or they will go out of business and we will have nothing to buy

if you want to compare pricing look at what else you can buy new for the same money

Not too far from a fair spec M235i
Interesting!!

Edit: Ok M235i base spec manual is R568 k, so a difference of R223k.
But the M2 will have a lot of standard stuff thats optional on the M235i

From my experience that will be the price for the first shipment, they will push the price up for the second shipment so every one waiting for their orders get a nice surprise when they go to collect from the dealer

Buy a 235i spend R15K on mods and get a quicker car than a M2 i asssume:rollsmile:
Or buy an old Superbike for 50k and be faster than both. Buy a plane ticket to CT and you will be the fastest...

M cars have more going for them than 1/4 times.

You shouldn't look at it that way, handling, looks etc. are all different

So after extras we are looking at close to 1mill? :smashScreen:

I know...///M cars have that appeal.

But these new car prices are just crazy for a base model.

Come standard with mostly everything you need , only nav or or sound would be ticked extra.

Looks nicer than a 235i
