ok, on the road, not the track, go into a bend and accelerate hard into it and out of it in a car with quattro and a car with rwd. if you are a skilled driver, which most of us aren't, then you will probably go around the bend faster in the bmw provided you slide a bit. even if you are able to do this, you will look like a tool doing this on the road.

now quattro makes up for lack of driver ability or show-off attitude. at the extreme it will understeer, but most of us dont go to that extreme. in a bmw it would oversteer and most us of would end up in the ditch. even if the rwd bmw does grip, you just need to touch a slippery patch and good bye rear end.

now lets aid some rain to the mix. even the slightest of rain or slippery surface.

i used to drive an s3 and i never ever worried about losing grip around a bend. it was like it was on train tracks. it never let me down. now in the 135i you really have to be at one with your car.

would i change my 135i, no way! i love it, but i am more cautious around the corners in it than the s3.

Hey Guys
As the title says
If you were looking at the 3 options, which one would you want sitting in your garage......
Taking into account price, performance and looks.

M135i because, it is ///M influenced, it is cheaper than all these, it rides on a newer platform than the 135is. The only problem with RS3 is the 4x4 system, and the higher price tag.

I think the exterior looks of the coupe are more appealing then the M135i but that being said, the interior is worlds ahead.
I would get the 3 door M135i in a heartbeat with the M active suspension and 18's and please make sure you don't leave xenons out!
The coupe is a decision made by the heart, the hatch is one made by the head with your heart finding itself content shortly thereafter!

rS3??????????? Really? Nah dude

Sho, thanks for the repsonse guys:thumbs:. I do think the coupe is a better looking car...its looks more agressive and does have a pitbull effect in my eyes. This attached pic is the look I would go for in the coup. I am glad that I am not the only one to see the value of the M135i offers, at some angles I find the car slightly softer or feminine and at other angles really sporty and agressive. I would go for the 3 door option, and I will go big on the extra's so xenon's are a must for me. I would like to put the 1M replica's wheel on the m135i as I think this will really add to the car and give it a more sporty touch.

As for the RS3 it is a more expensive option and dated in looks, plus the options get really expensive, you hit 335 coupe territory then and even base model boxter S. You do get a very quick car but as its limited there is a premium to it that maybe not worth it at the end of the day.

I think I need to see the m135i in person to make a final decision. Thanks for the input to help me think with the head more and less with the heart.....
Here are some comparison pics, not really a great comparison but something to use non the less. I feel with some 1M replicas on the m135i it will really give the car more agressive look.

No the RS3 was not a limited edition, though in many countries they were sold out. Remember Audi is VW owned, so mass production is their goal. Otherwise cars such as the R8 were gonna be in limited numbers, but anyone can buy one at anytime.

Yup, i would think you would wait sometime for delivery but you can buy one...for now....R520k base model it pretty good value but as soon as you start with extra's it gets very pricey:flyfun:

If price wasnt an issue, 135is for sure! love it.

I hate the looks of the M135, esp the rear!!! But the value for money in that car is unbelievable. I may even buy one haha.

RS3 is overpriced, in my opinion.

I think seeing the car in person will be the make or break for me, I have seen a new 125 hatch with the m sports kit in the estoril blue and man I was  it has such a presence in the flesh comapred to in pictures, but I have such a soft spot for 135i coupe. On paper the m135i kills all cometition...... just have to be patient :bangdesk: and wait to see it in the flesh

Just a question, will BMW produce another 1 Series ///M Coupe in their next 1 series coupe? Or was it a once off model?

Saw pics of the new 125i with the M-Sport kit, in white, and it is a damn good looking car. The front bumper gives it a more aggressive look.

I'd take the M135i as you will also get the new interior that the coupe doesn't come with

I really dont know, this would be my choice, but who knows when that would release, if at all....

So Guys
I did some very bad photo editing and managed to get an idea of what the 1M replica's might look like on the m135i, I like what I am seeing:rollsmile:
If anyone is a photoshop pro, could you please try get a better redering/ or whatever you call it then mine, thanks.
