Almost two months later and i find myself test driving everything and anything. So ive decided (against my significant others pleading) to get something again.
My price range is up to 1 mill, financed with a deposit unfortunately not cash![]()
A Nissan GTR would be first prize but parts are a little steep and most have none / if any motorplan or warranty left in that price bracket.
So ive short listed to either an M3/M4/M5 or a C63. They can all be picked up relatively new for around a mill. After test driving each I cannot decide what to go for.
My question is, is there any other cars that anyone can suggest i should look at, or any reason i should go for one over the other.
5-10 years ago I would have agreed.individj said:i would agree that its a great car & i would drive 1 but its a Cayman though..terrible boxster image haha.

The Cayman has established it's rep as a competent, well sorted car in recent years.
To the OP, it all depends what you want out of the car?
Weekend drama? AMG all day and twice on Sunday.
Something to take on spirited drives? Probably an ///M of some kind.
Does it need space for the pram? A back seat? Would it need to serve as a backup car should the Nissan go for service? Would you want to drive it for 3 days in this weather if you had to?
All things to consider

Finally after about 4 months ive decided to get an M5.
The M5 definitely suits my personality way more than the C63 seemed to. The C63's exhaust note is awesome but its just too loud and shouty for me. I dont know what it is but the C63 has a lazy character about it (not to say that its slow in anyway) where as to me the M5 feels like its always ready to go. Perhaps if i had the opportunity to drive a C63 more and maybe live with it i would change my opinion but as it stands thats how I feel. Another factor being that M5's are generally a lot cheaper than the mercs
As for the M3 / M4 option that changed very quickly after driving a V8 for the first time.
Tomorrow morning I'm going to pick up my new (old) M5 from SMG Umhlanga. Ill post some picks when its home.
