M135i replacement

When I traded the M135i in for a more family oriented car (2016 X-Trail 2.5 AWD) I told myself I wasnt going to get another car for a few years until the kids are all gown up.

Almost two months later and i find myself test driving everything and anything. So ive decided (against my significant others pleading) to get something again.

My price range is up to 1 mill, financed with a deposit unfortunately not cash :(
A Nissan GTR would be first prize but parts are a little steep and most have none / if any motorplan or warranty left in that price bracket.

So ive short listed to either an M3/M4/M5 or a C63. They can all be picked up relatively new for around a mill. After test driving each I cannot decide what to go for.

My question is, is there any other cars that anyone can suggest i should look at, or any reason i should go for one over the other.

2016 X-Trail 2.5 AWD :thumbdo: your first mistake, why did you not opt for an X5 or similar Im not surprised you are looking again.

Why not consider a 330D with the Performance package? I've heard they put out M3 figures, and I'm sure it will be cheaper.

Considering a GRT is your first prize, it seems that straight line speed is what you're after.

If that's the case, look at something AWD in the Audi range.

If you want drama and noise. C63.

If you want the best drivers car, I'd go M4.

If the family needs to come along. M5.

Alternatively, consider trading the Xtrail on a X5/X6 50D M. Don't have an extra car to maintain, and the wife is happy(ish).

There's a 2013 M5 on AT for 630000. Private sale and been on the market for a while so the seller is probably getting desperate so if you offer 600000 he would probably take it.

lol you are 100% right but I couldn't justify spending X5 money on what is essentially a school/shopping run around.

Look past the Nissan badge and you'll be surprised at what you actually get for your money, 7 seats, AWD and lots of tech.

C63 out of the ones you've listed. But have you tested the Jag XFRS (previous generation)?
Thanks for the recommendation, ill check it out, although i know nothing about Jaguars.

Interesting, never considered an Audi. Ill see if there is one to test drive at my local dealer.

Just get an M5, lots of room for the family too

Yeah think imleaning towards the M4 / M5. BUT the new 2017 M550i coming this year is going to be quicker than the current M5. Too many decisions.

Think you hit the nail right on the head there. I just cannot make my mind up though.

Never looked at one, just assumed price was out of my budget. Seems theyre available for under a mill with low mileage. I am definitly going to test drive one

This makes no sense! a GTR is a great handling car :hammerhead:

I state that if he's after *Straight line speed*, AWD will always have an advantage.

My assumption was based on the GTR's off the line speed and not it's handling.
