As the title suggests, car only has 900km on the clock, only gets driven once a week, still running the engine in :fencelook:

Car refused to start this afternoon, bmw on call jump started it, but aircon and radio is completely dead, and only the angel eyes and break lights work

Techie said that the car is gone into "pre-delivery mode" and needs to go into the dealership to be re-initialized or something of the sort :flyfun:

I find this to be rather odd, a brand new car having issues like this :thumbdo:

Other vehicles have been fine when left for weeks on end while I'm overseas :blab:

Just my luck :argh:

Sorry Singh, I park for sometimes 3-4 days a week off at a time. And battery seems 100%. Hope they sort it out.

Well I parked the 1M for 2 weeks and today on the way back from the charity event, it says oil below minimum level in red. :argh: Since when does oil just evaporate into thin air? There is no evidence of an oil leak and where did the 1 liter of oil go to? The iDrive says it needs 1 liter of oil. I am so cheesed. The car has only done 5500km and it went for an oil change at 1800km, so that's about 3800km after the oil change. :argh:
Luckily the battery still works. :fencelook:

It's frustrating, you spend this kind of money on a car and have issues like this so early in its life :argh:

That's a strange one.
Any explanation how the car resets to a Pre delivery mode. What does that even mean? Ecu resets to what?

Good luck though. I'm sure all is fine

There is a countdown in the ECU's timer that allows quite a few changes to be made before a set time. These changes can be done via the BMW system and on some cars include the setting of the speed limiter as well as power level. Something might have gone wonky with this and the car has lost its initial settings. I know of a F30 320i with a similar problem that resulted in a new ECU being installed. Car was also at similar mileage.
