M135i F21 headlight glass

Hey guys, driving back to Joburg today, the car in front of me drove over a piece of truck tyre and it shot out and hit my headlight and smashed the glass, phoned BMW and they quoted me R13500 for a new headlight as they have to replace the entire light and I got Xenon bulbs. Is there any way to replace the glass without replacing the entire headlight or are there any other alternatives?

If your car has Motorplan you will need BMW to replace it, no Motorplan there used to be a crowd call formalens who can build one. Claim from your insurance company ...

If you don't want to go Insurance route, then try the scrap yards.
I saw them breaking up a F20 on Gumtree not too long ago and headlights were fine

Sorry to hear bud, I had a similar issue on the M1, luckily nothing broke only have a few light scratches on the light, I wonder if we can claim from SANRAL as they should be keeping the roads clear of debris etc. Also what happens if you are not paying your etolls?

Sanral would probably take 2 years to sort out something like that though, gonna try the insurance route cause my parking sensor has also been knocked into the bumper so I want them to sort out everything one shot

BMW Insurance is underwritten by Guardrisk not AF. AF sold Guardrisk in 2013 and it was acquired by MMI (Momentum).
