M135i Dash Rattles

Ok so I'm totally loving my M135i, but its developed an extremely loud an irritating rattle from the front left of the dash, and I can't keep caining the car to drown out the rattle as much as I love doing that.

Took it back to BMW and it turns out this is not covered by motorplan and warranty expires after 2 years on trim, so I'm down to sorting this out myself.....busy weekend ahead I guess.

Anyone here had same or similar issues? Would be great to have a point of reference to start trouble shooting from.

These things are bound to happen eventually. I have one near the passenger side air vent next to the passenger door.

Another common one is from door seals, wipe them down and apply some rubber treatment / protector.

Thats the one Im talking about.....almost sounds like a R2 coin stuck inside there......hunting that down this weekend. Thankfully no other noises yet.
