Reviving this to ask about views and opinions on this back box?

Is it worth the $$$

Basically +-R10K fitted without tips (Reuse existing Tips) and possibly sell the stock box or keep it and sell the MPE later on with adding tips later also if I find R4k some were :fencelook:

Sounds good in the video that was posted but also sounds similar to stock when not driving hard.

I personally think its a great addition. It was louder than stock and had more of a burble and rumble even when not driving hard. I do not think I would have enjoyed the car as much with a stock exhaust. Once its on you wont be cruising :smilebounce:

How much louder than stock is it when driving normal under slight acceleration?

For me, it's worth it. Apart from the cold start ups, best part is driving in a parkade. Even better is when you set off a few car alarms at the work car basement! It has a huge growling sound that is very loud and distinct. My mate says he loves hearing it when's following me.

However it is not over bearingly loud. Under normal driving, there's not even much more sound, from inside the car, compared to the oem stock one. To respond to the previous post, under slight acceleration, I found that it's very noticeable: the burbles and crackles occur more frequently then.

You do get much louder systems of course. I've heard the Akro's are demonic when fitted to an m135i. However R100k is quite a bit to be spending on a system which I doubt will be covered under motor plan. Anyway, I did check on these before fitting the mpe, and heard it wasn't available anymore for the m135i. Not much sleep lost because I'm now very happy with my mpe. Apart from almost zero turbo lag and plenty of power on a rolling start to smoke an R, it's got the soundtrack to go with it.

Cool man. I haven't fitted a dp so unfortunately can't comment. However I think I did come across one recently. I remember that exhaust delivering the sound mine has, but with a deep hissing sound as well.

Does anyone have this on an m140i? How does it compare to mpe on the m135i?
When I had it on my m135i, that car should gurgle everywhere. Morning start up in a basement sounded like a jet engine starting!
