M135 hesitation at 2500rpm

Hi All,

Ive only had the car 2 weeks so still getting to know it, however I have found a hesitation.
I only get it in 7 and 8th Gear, WOT, when I allow it to pull from under 2000. as it spools through 2200-2500 it hesitates.

Initially I thought it may be surge, but on occasion it cleans up and then hesitates again just under 3000.

I now think it may be a misfire.

Car has 25000km on the clock, bone stock, running 95 with NF Sport octane booster.

what is everyones thoughts on plugs for these cars?

Hmm my 335i sometimes has this, but it's when I drove the car very very hard it will cut the boost at about 3000rpm and spool down. I let the car cool off for a while then all is cool again :coolShake:

I also found it has twice hesitated but I suspect bad fuel, I filled up art another garage again (I have only used Sasol/Engen/Shell thus far) I have a bottle of NF Sport too but yet to use it..

If it happens 24/7 I say book it it.. But like I said I found it to be our crap fuel..

Check your plugs. If you using NF Sport, your plugs are fouled.

I replaced mine at around 25k kms and they were stuffed. I ran about 3 or 4 bottles of NF and Torqo in that time.

After seeing the plugs when I removed them, i will never touch another Octane Booster. Will stick to Eth.

Thanks for the info guys.

Car is running cool, cruising on the hiway, and uphill its most apparent (full load on motor)

I have only put through 2 bottles of NF (2 tanks) so will try next tank without it.

I would love to run ethanol (tuned lots of cars on it) but as a DD its just a pain to use, unless you guys got a simpler way of using / storing it?

Also does Octane Boosted make a noticeable difference on these cars, I haven't really felt an improvement over 95.

On my N54 335i NF did nothing for me, car was stock and I had a few runs on the dyno that confirmed this, perhaps with a flash it would have.
