Good call on thier part . What pi**es me off is emailing a guy for a price of an item he has on gumtree ,and asking if the courier I arrange can pick up the item after I have done an internet transfer . Now the price is R150 or so more than advertised :thumbdo::thumbdo: , so I buy elsewhere .

Met Rolf just now, and picked up the lens for the rhs headlight.

Perfect condition, virtually new.

Thank you very much Rolf. I appreciate all your help. Thank you too for the lens covers. They will keep the lights perfect forever.

What a nice guy. His BMW motorcycles, and beautiful E39 M5 is something to be admired.

Guys, after my rant of yesterday, I can honestly say that you will get good service from M1. My previous experiences with them has been very pleasant, and yesterday was the exception to the rule.

Rolf mentioned yesterday that people hardly ever say thank you for good service, and I agree with him.

So, this is me saying thank you to Rolf for great service.

Sjoe - Glad this has been sorted. I would have cancelled my trip to Bruce's BMW I have planned for this afternoon to collect a part, but as seeing as all is good, the trip is still on.

Bad news from my side. I called in on Monday morning and Kevin answered..So ask him if they have a spare windows for my E34. He said yes and told me I should give them a call - an hour before I come by, so they'll have time to remove it from the car. In which I did.

So come lunchtime, I go there and Kevin beings out a window from an E32 and tries to see if it fits my car...It doesn't, so he tries to find the mechanic guy who was stripping the car but he was gone for lunch. I said OK, give me a call when he's back. The rest of Monday afternoon - no call, the rest of Tuesday - no call, I called in on Wednesday and told him (kevin) he hasn't called back. He says he was very busy and couldnt attend to it. So I replied ok, please get it done as soon as possible.

So today is Thursday and I'm getting really displeased. Ive decided to search other places, so I've phone this guy gumtree - BMW e34 540i 1996 spares and he says he has the window and will give it to me for only R100 as he is trying to get rid of everything. (as opposed to the R450, Kevin wanted for it).

So im going to this guys place later today to check it out.

Take some picks if you can so we can see what else he has. I need a right wiper arm, although I don't know if I'll be able to get to him before I leave for holiday.

will do.

From my side though, I dealt with Ryan Louw and I am extremely pleased with the service I received. Ryan even offered me discounts without me even asking :thumbs::thumbs:. He is extremely courteous and very professional and has a strong BMW background in terms of parts as a result of having worked for the dealers before.

I'd recommend that when you do deal with M1, that you deal with Ryan directly. This is what I'll be doing for all future interaction with M1.

I went there after Jandre's positive response for the bumper grille which i needed. They did not have any in stock and ordered from somewhere else for me. They said they would call me yesterday before lunch as it should arrive by then.

Guess what .... no call from them so I assume they either didn't get the part or I am not worth their business.

Either way ... I need to find the part and need to go and look elsewhere now:nonono:

Guys, ive dealt with m1 for close on 5yrs now... my parts shop when i had my e30, and i infact bought my e39 from them! voetstoots i might add.

a week after i got the car, the waterpump seized and took out belts and whatnot with it... they sent a bmw flatbed to come fetch the car first thing that next morning, within 2 days car was repaired. this was march 2009, cars still fine. this was done at no charge... when i first took delivery of the said vehicle i noticed a noise, no-one could work out what it was, turned out to be a powersteering pump, this they repaired for me and reconned it... again at no charge...

Ive seen this business grow and grow and grow, im sure recently with the splitup etc there will be some teething problems...

i urge u guys to be patient, stick around, long term you will be well looked after. i speak of close on 5yrs experience.

Regards,
Anton
