Problem is that everyone says they can help but when the car is in the workshop they might not say anything, however BMW SA is randomly appearing at any time or dealer and they inspect the cars.

So if found with downpipes or software or anything they dont like they void the MP
Yeah much rather avoid that happened then. Shall just keep the M back box then and play after motor plan in a few years.

Thanks guys for that heads-up not worth loosing it over that right now. Also heard about the random BMW checkups to.

Not necessarily. Just remove the downpipe before you take it in. It's bolt on...they won't know. I did this for 3 years till I decided to just take it in with the DP.

Interesting, I know Im busying turning this thread now but who did the DP and the fitment/replacement before services for you? Obviously would like to go to a place that I know will assist me with that process.

Also thank you for everyone's input on this!

Thanks guys, I came right with a second hand box that we going to fit next week Saturday! Cannot wait for this bad boy. Now just to see how to navigate BMW and a possible downpipe, apparently there are people out there that can facilitate this.

Beyond happy! What an upgrade wow! Thank you guys for all the help and direction, I honestly think this has been the single best purchase I have made for this machine! Super happy!

BMW SA are inspecting the DP bolts now also. So reinstalling stock is not foolproof.
Yeah something I'm going to leave for now. Happy with the M back box and not liss to go through the up and down effort right now.

BMW may say nothing for a while , but when something brake in the car and they have to replace they will tell you that your MP is cancelled because the DP and you will have to pay for whatever the cost . It did happened to me

I tried to find one for my LCI M135i, spoke to a bunch of dealers (Sandton, Bryanston and more). They told me you just can't get the M performance backbox because there are non left in the country. Still in a plan so patiently waiting to for it to end unless someone knows something I don't!
