My goodness, so much excitement.

I meant no offense, purely composed with what I thought was a little lite humor. Sure, I've been called sarcastic before, but mostly without intention.

I did not take notice of the DYNO day initially, and would have not scheduled this so close, but now I was pretty stoked with combining this with some high HP.

So, cool down chaps, I want to come see the power.

As stated before, I personally have no gripe with a lunch happening at ANY given time or day. My purpose for messaging, was to get numbers and attendance up for an official event by asking you to contemplate combining the two.

Dyno days are not just about the dyno, it's about the get together of " petrol heads" to shoot the crap and discuss different aspects of motoring. That was my reason for messaging you.

Also keep in mind, we tasked with setting up events for the forum memebers and we take feedback from the community with regards to what we've done wrong or right and plan forward accordingly.

Maybe it's just that we can't read the tone from a computer screen reply, but your response from pm to the forum didn't seem the same. If I've misread it, then apologies, but personally it seemed like those that attend dyno days are not "real petrol heads ". Whilst I dont take personal insult in this, as I don't have the time to dyno my car or race it, it just felt like an insult to those that do...hence my response. Apologies again if that's not what you meant.

Lastly... I don't think anyone needs to do ass kissing.

Ps...we looking for some NEW events commitee members, to bring some diversity to the table. Would be lovely if yourself or Dewald could join the team.

Hey Firi, I was sort of confused as to what happened here and I asked my wife to assess. She clearly stated that those who do not know me would take offence in how I composed my responses.

I will certainly work on changing how I address the community in an effort to minimize any misunderstanding.

As for joining the team, I'd be happy to :coolShake:

Agree Firi.

Alot of time, effort and planning goes towards official events. Generally, many members dont attend and others complain about the organisation. The committee really try hard to please a broad range of members for events.

Its pretty dissapointing reading such comments on the open forum, be it sarcasism or not.

I dont belong to the events committee, but I try and help out however I can so get to see alot of the background work that does go into the events. The Dyno day for eg. Involved, arranging a suitable venue, arranging quality food for the day, arranging entertainment, working with sponsors, arranging trophy's etc. All done by members who do it not for any glory or pat on the back, but for members to enjoy.

While the dyno day may be a performance event, the social aspect is huge. Members spend all day interacting and talking about their passion ie. Cars.

So, I wont apologise for my previous post. What I will do is as Firi suggested, urge Dewald and Herman to get officially involved in the events committee. Arrange us members some fantastic events for 2017.

The lunch meet is a really great initiative and i applaud the OP for arranging and the eagerness of members to attend. If i was available to attend i probably would have.

The dyno event, as an official event is ideally created for comparison of your cars power on the day. Many may say "dyno events are not for me" or, "my car is too old/slow/frail/etc for dyno runs" or "who cares what power my car makes", however the social aspect of any event is always the Event teams main priority.

Just take the planning of the dyno event... the team has worked hard to arrange the venue, sponsors, trophies and food vendors. All you got to bring is your money, appetite, friends, camp chairs and you can socialise with not only a closed group of friends but many like minded people.

Each to their own. My choice between the two would be to attend the dyno. To me its more value plus theres some awesome trophies. Rocomammas will always be available for lunch... Up to you...
