how is this piped in... similar to N2O?

I am thinking the same here.. But if N20 is not legal for street use would a propane/butane tank be allowed on a street car?

It's definitely legal, infact, there are currently at least two petrol stations in jhb that sell lpg from the pump directly to your vehicle @ around R9 bucks a litre.

Doesn't the LPG make for much higher combustion temps and EGT? If so, it would hardly be worth it with a turbo car. I know the temperatures are higher when you convert a petrol car to LPG, which results in a shortened head life.

Hey P1000, have a read here, I will post after I have fitted the full kit from Australia and know more.

Thanks, but that article does not say anything about EGTs?

Read here: http://www.timeongas.com/service/lpg-systems-for-diesel-engines/

It would seem that in most cases it should not be a problem, bur that specific system has an EGT sensor to prevent damage.

its a cool idea, with lots of merits.. reason you wont see it much in sa is because of the cost of lpg here.. not cost effective as a replacement fuel.. nor very cost effective as a booster either..

LPG is currently around R9/l, thats quite a bit cheaper.
