Hi bud,

Here is my experience with lowering the E90 LCi 320d.

I looked and shopped around and when the first okes told me all 4 cyl are the same...I got a bit concerned. So I decided to do some research and best brands came up as H&R, Koni & Eibach.

The 320i, 318i, 316i have all different weight on the engine side and this is what normally differs between engines. like if you get a 330d set and you fit it...you will end up being called "The Bounce Member" like me lol. cause the front sits higher than normal like a snoop dogg car with jammed hydraulics. now i am not too sure about the difference in weight with regards to diesel vs petrol engine of the same size and you probably need that clarity however I do not believe all 4 cylinder engine will use the same sets.

Sean from Axis then offered me the H&R Sport springs for my car which was super awesome and sat absolutely well. he was super efficient and knows his stuff pretty well, i suggest give him a quick call or PM him but that oke never fails to help at all.

Diesel motors are known to be heavier, but not sure between the 4cyl petrol and diesel engines.

Your cheap kits will be universal, the expensive kits are model specific. At the cost of doing shocks and lowering it, why don't you get FK coilovers?
