Hi Guys,

Has anybody lowered their E92s? Interested in what spring to go for, something compatible with EDC though.

Any suggestions?

Cheers

Quick quick:roflol:

Seriously - I have seen one with H&R springs, and it looked really good. Wasn't too low.

Contact Moranor and hear what he has to offer.

cut springs ftw! ... :roflol:

i know jsn sells springs for the M .. not sure if its HnR or Eibach .. but the small drop definitely makes a difference on the overall look

Either H&R's vs Eibachs

H&R's slightly lower in front and firmer ride.

Eibachs nice drop, very comfortable ride like stock. Don't feel any harshness. I wont go lower just in case the car bottoms out easily or damages the EDC shocks.

I've got the Eibachs on my M3 with EDC. Perfect stance.

** Spare Eibach Pro-Kit for sale. Used. Asking R2800 not neg.

The EDC is calibrated for the OEM spring stiffness and length.
I wouldn't change the springs....

progressive spring rate for both H&R and Eibach were carefully developed to work with these dampers on this car :)

Kindly supply engineering proof of this development? Spring constants comparisons etc..

its really not that complicated an EDC damper is just better at isolating body control from bump abortion there is still a fixed maximum damper force the springs can be made around... the fact that you can change damper settings actually makes it easier to control the springs

when developing any lowing spring a high end company like H&R and Eibach will develop the spring around the OEM damper forces using a progressive spring rate this is how they can lower a car and still provide a great ride

I will try get some data for you but you can hardly expect these companies to give out data on how exactly their springs work for others to copy... a quick google search will bring up plenty people running these springs on the M3 with EDC dampers you dont have to take my word for it...

Ive got Eibach's. No issues. Rides far better than my brothers stock E92 M3.

My E46 m3 is sitting on eibachs and a set of 19' reps, the ride is a bit harsh to me, handling is brilliant of course, I am looking at coil overs, so I can adjust atleast
