Loud whistle noise

Hi Guys

I need some help. I sent my car in for a new turbo and Exhaust temostat and when I got it back all was fine. Half way to Durban, I starting hearing a loud whistle noise which got worst. Got back to JHB and took it straight to the mechanic who worked on my car. He stripped everything again and said everything is fine. He also went as far as taking the turbo back to suppliers who re-ensured all was fine.

Gave it back to me and once again the noise was there but feint and got louder as the days past.

Here's the weird part. The noise only appears when the car warms up. I have no clue what to look for except think its exhaust related.

Can anyone advise me on what maybe the causes.

Crack in a boost pipe? The pipe expanding as the car gets warmer could explain the whistling getting louder as the crack expands with the pipe.

Maybe a boost pipe has come loose from it intended fitting.

Sometimes the guys replacing the turbo forget to tighten the clamps.

Shot in the dark.

Did you replace the loo type filter with the cyclone type oil separator when they did the turbo? Boost pipes are not to difficult to reach. My son's car's turbo gets quieter the hotter it gets. Sounds like a police siren when cold.

I have no idea.........ask me about servers, phones, etc etc, I can answer but have no idea what that is. I will ask the Mechanic tho...

Yours should have the cyclonic oil separator in already. My 2006 320d has it in as I checked this week when doing the air filter. I am not sure when they introduced the cyclonic type so be better to make sure as the old loo type is a real turbo killer when it is not changed on time (every third oil service).
