Looking to get back into BMW M3

Good day folks,

Just thought I'd pop in and say hi...:cartel:

My name is Steve and I'm from Cape Town. I currently drive a 2009 V8 Audi S5, and have had a few Audi's in the past, but also a few BMW's. One of the best cars I've driven would have to be the Laguna Seca Blue 2001 M3 that I had while living overseas for a few years, but unfortunately was not in a position to bring it back with me. In my opinion, this it THE benchmark ///M car and an exhilarating and pure driving experience. It still has one of the best straight six motors ever produced.

Although the S5 is an awesome car to drive, has that V8 growl/rumble that you never grow tired of, and has the safety of Quattro, it's not as fun to drive as a M3, so I'm looking to get myself back into a late (2003-), good condition M3, preferably manual, but definitely Coupe. If anyone knows of a good condition M3 that's for sale at a reasonable price, that has had all the required service bits done to it, I know these cars well, then please let me know. I would be willing to travel to collect, as long as it's a genuine deal.

Thanks,

Hi Steve,

Welcome to the forum.

Finding a clean, manual, facelift E46 M3 is quite a challenge. I have just been through this whole process myself. See my thread in the showroom section.

How much research have you done?

Hi,

I am looking in all the usual internet car sites, such as autotrader, gumtree, etc. Any other sites you could recommend?

I'm not in a hurry, but also wouldn't like to loose a good deal if I come across one.

Hi Mo,

No luck yet. Quite a lot of convertible's out there though, Not really my cup of tea though. Look at Autotrader and Gumtree.
