I only use the car charger when my phone is completely dead, or whilst using the phone as a GPS when stuck to the windscreen.

Otherwise, the phone remains hidden at all times to prevent smash and grabs.

Ah... Trusted post office. Guaranteed to thoroughly check and test the product on the streets to see if it's worth anything, before actually delivering it to the intended (if worth anything, non-intended) addressee.

Make sure you test for quality, ie driving on a bumpy road that would normally cause a CD to jump a bit. And volume quality. And annoyance factor (the wires dangling all over). And test the controls on the headunit and steering wheel. See if they change the songs and adjust volume, etc.

:)

Thorough tests will be conducted! I have an idea of what I'll do with the wire... Will see when I get it... I do live in Howick (Bad Road Capital) so if it works here it'll work anywhere

Stick the wire behind one of the trim pieces?

Be careful of those. They tend to crack easily.

I'm thinking of sticking the wire where my bluetooth kit is installed.

Its bad! Worse is if you have to go into the taxi rank area of town!

As well as the road that goes down past the High School that I drive over every day... At 10km/h in 1st gear. While the Fortuners overtake me swearing/hooting/flashing etc

Yes, so I picked it up from the PO about an hour ago

Nice long cable so I've decided that my iPod will live in the cubbyhole (Out of Sight, Out of Mind)

Sound quality is very good, no real complaints there, it handles bumpy roads just fine, no jumping, etc.

So thats my first impression... Will update further as I use it more...
