Motorplan - TOTAL waste of money dude.. firstly you are stuck going to a stealership to get your work done when there are plenty of MUCH BETTER after market mechanics who will work for less and don't mind using non-OEM parts

Age - Get an older one.. all the pretty stuff (LED's, Halogens, Upgrades) etc etc can be bought BETTER AND CHEAPEr than OEM...

get the cheapest and best basic 2nd hand M you can find and the upgrade it

M@!

my motorplan was definately not a waste of money :)

new shocks, new sunroof, new clutch/flywheel, new discs all round, new pads. that was after paying R5K to have my plan extended

the changes from 03.5+ is not just cosmetic. they have better big end barrings, 05+ uses same headers as csl, and there are some other changes, which I forget.

matt, are you seriously of the opinion, that say something like the umnitza LED tails are better than the OEM tails? this goes for the xenon projectors too?

AIM with kabal,

I LOVE! my motorplan.

Also paid 5k to extend.

1 month after I extended, the clutch went, R8k. :)
So I have already saved R3k and I still have a year left free motoring :)

Well in Cape Town there is G&C and ART for starters...

In JHB there is Rob Green and loads of others

Problem with Dealer mechanics is they totally RAPE on costs and I've had loads of bad experiences with them... of course there are some pretty terrible after market mechanics too.. look at what happened to me

It's just that Motorplan is insurance and like all insurance you need to claim like a mo-fo to break even.. it only works because for MOST people it costs more than it covers

No.. he is expensive but you get what you pay for.. I'd say their pricing is fair considering the incredible service and quality work you'll get

Cool, I was just talking out of experience in terms of quotes they have given me, but I have no experience of the quality of their work, but good to know, thanks

Insane expensive would be spending what I spent previously on my car only to have the guts fall out of her... that's INSANE expensive... paying alot for really good service is very very sane :)

That makes sense, in a way of getting what you pay for, but unfortunately in SA it is often the case that you don't get what you pay for, most of the times you get less, which was my reason for being a bit skeptical of rob green, but I stand corrected :)
