Locked keys in trunk

Ive done this before and worst of all I was in a rush for a meeting, I just stopped to buy something, dropped it in the boot with the key and then. OMG rage ... I don't have an AA membership but called a friend who did, they sent out some dodgy locksmith that charged me R300 to open it in about 5 minutes, but I had to wait over 2 hours for him to get there. Defintily not worth screwing up the lock because I don't think they can order one that easily.

My dad locked the keys in the boot of his e46 320i a few years back... Also opened using the wiring harness.

This procedure causes the Alarm to go off, and the doors automatically Deadlock... cannot be opened from the boot, only with the key.

...Unless you've cut a hole through the ski-flap to fit a sub...:fencelook:

I've tried to get the harness out in that way but there is not enough space but OK I did not try to force it as I did not want to damage the wiring. That gap is less than 5mm but as I said maybe if you force it, it would go
