Local exhausts

Hi guys,
I'm planning a couple of things for my car soon, and since you're all so helpful, I figured id ask some questions.

Ok, so I want to do a full catless exhaust, from the downpipes, and I've been looking at going the import route. But it seems like a hassle and quite pricey.

What's your thoughts on having one made up locally? Meaning quality, performance, sound and price against some of the imported brands.

Any input would be appreciated, as I have no knowledge on this topic.

Thanks!

Oh, for an E90 335i:thumbsup:

I am in the same boat as you. I have decided to order the AE Performance exhaust as it has the least documented drone with auto boxes. I like the sound as well and it offers quite a bit of weight saving compared to stock.
There are quite a few cars running TNT and they do not sound bad at all. As for performance I reckon most exhausts will give you about 6wkw.

Ive also looked at the AE exhaust, seems that it is one of very few full Downpipe-back exhausts, all of the rest seem to be cat-back only. But i think I want to try the locally first.

Do you have any idea on what TNT asks for theirs? And if it has Mandrel bends?

Hi guys, in my opinion if you looking for a good local exhaust go and see the guys from power pipes, they have some really good stuff and they really seem to know what they doing!

Go and have a look at wild cat, they are amazing and the sound is out of this world!
R3500 for their dps
R5000 for full pipe

Look in the new speed and sound, that black 135 gopt his done there!!!

Awesome, thanks for the info! Was exactly what I was looking for.
So I think i will go with the wild cat exhaust then when I start modding.

Anyone have any input on the wild cat downpipes? Fitment, welds, quality?
Or would you guys recommend sticking with imported dps? From my research it just seems that there are huge quality differences in dps.
Im sure the exhaust will be good.

I would go there and have a look, but im in CT and they only have authorized fitment centers down here,
i doubt any of them would carry stock.

Thanks again!

If you turn off from the N1 on to the M5 and u take the maitland turn off, thus stay left, there is a exhaust fitment place that stocks wildcat exhaust. Sorry for the little info. I just see the place when coming from newlands. Think theres a silencer city accross from it. Will let you know if i get more info

In the good old days when I used to live closer to KaapFontein. I had two of my vehicles done at a place in Parow... Down the road from Karl Bremmer Hospital over Main road and the next robot, coming from N1 as you would be driving towards Tygerberg Hospital.... I was very happy with the result on my 200iE Astra and on my Isuzu DC4X4 260LX.
