Little white lies

Ok let me ask my fellow board members if their SO's know of any mods that they've done to their cars? :fencelook: My wife knows of nothing, she just knows that the car is fast. All performance mods done are on the low down and takes some planning :=): except for cosmetics. Last time I made a balls up when i spilled some NF octane on the rear wheel. She asks me how those yellow marks got on the mag so I told her that a dog had pee'ed on the wheel and the rims now need to be refurbished :fencelook:

Now I'm in a bit of a pickle. Now because this was on a down low a few white lies was told once again. Like why the car had to go to Art. I told her that they going to run a diagnostic on the car so that I could see what is exactly wrong with car... This was not the case, the car went in to have the downpipes removed :fencelook:

So after the dp's were removed plus the intakes, the JB was then set to a less aggressive map, now bear in mind that the wifey also uses the car from time to time. A week before the car is booked in she used the car for about 2 days and she then asks me when I'm going to book the car in.I then asked her why, she then tells me that there's something wrong with car. Now me with a puzzled look on my face because I drove the car like an hour earlier and didn't notice anything wrong asks her, what do you mean there’s something wrong with the car? She then tells me the car feels sluggish, I nearly choked on the food I was eating trying to contain my laughter while also trying to keep a straight face :roflol:

Now I'm faced with a dilemma, when I'm done driving the car, should I change the map to 0 (standard map) for when she drives the car or leave as it is? Or upgrade my cars tracking system to check logs and real time info as to what speeds she's driving, maybe she's doing the odd TLGP :fencelook: :roflol:

You have more problems than solutions.

Lol, I can relate to this thread. Most of my mods are "undeclared" or passed off as maintenance items. Had some nice explaining to do when my car had to go to Cape Town last year for mods.

:fencelook: Tell her the truth...dont let Khama get hold of your nutz

The problem with telling the truth is always met with the same response from her,"Is it now really necessary" and once I hear that then all resistance crumbles.

You have an excuse to do another mod, since she said it was "sluggish"

+1 had the same issue with my wife. she reacted similarly when i told her about the CF parts i wanted to put on the car. She said, "Leave it as is, its beautiful in its original state".
