Limp Mode

Good morning fellas

I seriously need help with my 118i 2007, lately it goes on limp mode from time to time and the yellow engine sign is contantly on, I have tried to take it for diagnosis but no 1 seems knw what the problem might be! Yal are my last hope am even contemplating getting rid of the car but I still don't knw which bmw to go for now!:argh:

start with telling us where you based and how this happened with your car, no use I direct you to a mechanic in Parys when your in Pretoria...

what sort of symptoms does it exhibit?

Am based in klerksdorp, and just started of while I was driving, it went on limp mode sometimes when I restart the car it goes back to being normal,

1 thing about the bmw in klerksdorp if they can't fix a car they take it to same mechanic I take it to, then they just put their mark and give u an invoice, so its pointless taiking it to them. The same guy checked it and he seemed confused also.

did he plug it in to see the error?
the plug port is on the drivers side door frame i think.
its normally pretty accurate in its diagnoses.

Yes he did but am taking it to a diff person for an alternative
