I am helping a friend out - it's not for my car. How can BMW charge this for a bulb?
It's out of MP.
Hoping to do him a favour in return, and to get him to him our forum
It is for angel eyes.

Well that sounds about the right price for BMW to charge for a bulb, you don't even want to know what they charge for a new xenon bulb :nonono:

Best here would probably be to upgrade to the LED type, the guys from rennzport sell those if I am not mistaken.

Else you could try and find out who makes the bulbs like osram or philips etc and try and find a supplier for that brand and see if they sell the bulb.

Rather change them to LED, its a bit of a pain to do but +/-R700 for a set of better looking rings, rather that replacing one side for R500 and then having the other side go in a couple of months time. Its uses an ordinary bulb, the holder is just different.

If he doesn't want to spend that kind of money, i suggest he remove the bulb unsolder the bulb from the holder and replace it for a couple of bucks.

I changed mine over the weekend

I doubt BMW would have been able to find that, would probably just have replaced the bulb and you would have to pay for it, then it still wouldn't work and they would say the headlight is faulty and needs to be replaced.
